For those 16 and up interesting in counseling or co-counseling this year are encouraged to attend this two day retreat. Even if you’ve counseled before, we encourage you to attend.

Theme: “Caring for the Camper”
Time: Registration starts Friday, April 9th at 6:15. General session starts at 7:30. Retreat ends, Saturday, April 10 at 4:00.

Topics: Camper Care 101 – Homesickness, daily schedule, changes for 2010, devotional book, child abuse policy, emergency procedures. Camper Care 102 – Getting to know your camper, putting on/taking off, camper characteristics, decision time. Camper Connections – Round table discussion. Camper Counseling – Counseling after the service, Be watchful/be sensitive. Co-Counseling – General Sessions.

The Home School Retreat, scheduled for August 12-15 has been canceled. We are looking forward to having it next year with a different format and time of the year.

Our camp is worthy of our prayers and support. Therfore, we have initiated the “365th Brigade” of Camp Manitoumi. We want to enlist churches and individuals to sign up for a four year hitch in the “365th Brigade.” Will you enlist?
