Mail
Campers love to receive letters and packages! Send them to (Camper’s Name) Camp Manitoumi, 948 County Rd 1800 N, Lowpoint, IL 61545.

To send an email, you can purchase a one-way email package during registration for $2.50 per account. You can then send unlimited emails to each camper on your account through the Registration Portal. You can also invite other family members to your account, who can send one-way emails as well. These messages will be printed off at 4 pm everyday and delivered at Mail Call during dinner.

Please note: Campers take homesickness cues from you as the parent, so sending multiple messages a day may not be beneficial to your camper. Any emails sent to the camp email address for campers will not be delivered.

Manitoumi Money
Manitoumi Money is a way for you to add money to your camper’s account that they can spend in the Camp Store and Snack Shack. You add this money during the registration process and check how much money your camper has left and add money through the week using the Registration Dashboard. Using Manitoumi Money means your camper does not have to keep track of physical money during the week and avoids getting lost. We highly recommend using Manitoumi Money for you camper.

Note: The Camp Store and Snack Shack still accept cash money and cards. If you send these payment options with your camper, they are responsible for keeping track of it and keeping it secure.

Homesickness
Homesickness is an inevitable part of being apart from a loved one for any given period of time. Our counselors, nurse, and dean are all prepared to help your camper through any homesickness issues. We will keep you informed as necessary but we do not permit campers to call home. After the first 48 hours there is no refund for campers who leave early due to homesickness. Remember that campers take their cues from you, parents. Prepare them ahead of time by encouraging them to make new friends, talk to counselors, etc. Try not to be nervous yourself, especially as you check in your camper and leave him/her with his/her counselor. For the safety of all our campers, visits during the week are not allowed.
Camper Code of Conduct
All campers are expected to cooperate fully with camp staff and leaders. They are to treat other people and their property with respect. All services must be attended. Inappropriate language and behavior are not accepted and will not be tolerated. Any individual who openly and belligerently promotes doctrines in any form contrary to those outlined in the Camp Manitoumi Doctrinal Statement shall be subject to dismissal. The camp director and weekly dean reserve the right to dismiss any camper whose conduct is detrimental to the overall good of the camp. In cases of misconduct, a parent will be required to pick up the camper and no refund will be made.
